Privacy

Your privacy matters.

The WorkProof interest feature is optional and does not ask for names or email addresses. When someone clicks “I'm interested,” Varkyron places a signed browser cookie and stores a hashed random browser identifier plus the date in a private database, to reduce repeat counting. This does not reliably identify unique people.

The interest count is stored separately from WorkProof accounts and is not used to sign users up for beta testing. Technical traffic data, such as IP addresses, may be processed by the web hosting and security infrastructure for normal security and operational purposes.

Session cookies are needed for form protection and vote deduplication. Website interest records are retained while the interest survey is in use and can be cleared when the survey ends. WorkProof itself has a separate login and account system.

Contact details and a final retention policy will be published before public launch.
